Project overview
Since, main targets are Finnish young adults who has leaning difficulties,
We have needed to suggest simple and intuitive UXUI for the all parts of the app.
The design concept is to let users easily choose from recommendations rather than searching for recipes themselves.
01
Requirements
Target: Young adults who have the autism in Finland (Mainly Finnish users). Target age group is 20 years old to early 30s
Young autistic users tend to be slow learners
Hard to focus on something that they not interested in
Users may have a difficulty to learn new things and complicated things
Users can enjoy cooking only simple recipes since they are hard to focus on cooking for a long time
Users may have difficulty of managing schedules and handling multi-tasks
02
Solutions
In the home screen, users can look through popular and recommended recipes without being spontaneous
Include minimum user interactions and needed functions to make an appropriate constraint
As an unique addition, difficulty label in the recipe detail page helps users to select what they cook
Users can also enjoy posting their own recipes, which encourages to have a small communication with the others
In order to make a fun learning experience, it has the cooking mini games to enhance users' motivation
Ideation
I have tried to avoid complexity and sketched clear UI design ideas first.
To differentiate Digikeittiö's UIUX, I have benchmarked famous cooking apps in Japan. We also considered a chef character design that would appeal to young people. At the same time, we also proposed some cooking mini-game ideas.

Wireframe
Simplicity and functionality are the fundamental concepts behind the UI design.
In addition to making it easy to find recipes with difficulty labels,
I have created a UI that makes it simple to post recipes.

Design guideline
The font is Roboto, which is an Android device font.
The key color is a bright orange that evokes familiarity and the color of vegetables, and similar vivid colors were also selected for the categories.
